I’m not a good shopper to begin with, so it’s not surprising that I used to have trouble finding unique baby shower gifts. I did not have the time or patience to traipse throughout the entire mall looking at every children’s or maternity store in the place. I customarily ended up purchasing the standard outfits from Baby opening, and received the usual warmish response from the mom-to-be. I wasn’t interested in making any more effort than mandatory, which was definitely the wrong angle. I mean, if I cared enough about the person to purchase a present in the 1st place, then why not at least try to get something worthwhile?
It took some searching, but I was eventually able to come up with a handful of internet sites that concentrate on items for babies. These small boutiques are not nationally known, but their products are of top spec and extraordinarily affordable. And, I’ll be sure that no-one else will show up to the party with the same present! For instance, rather than the common tasteless onesies and diaper bags, I now buy individualized baby shower gifts decorated with the child’s's and/or parents’ names ( if the folks have recently decided on a name, of course ).

over the years, I have purchased small rocking chairs, rocking horses, toy chests, and even baseball gloves And since these aren’t the run-of-the-mill things the parents-in-waiting have started to expect, they sometimes receive a brilliant welcome.
So if you’re attempting to find a baby shower gift, leave the uninteresting stuff for other folks to purchase. Go with something unique and memorable the proud mom and dad will actually love!
